Creative Drama Leadership Training

Purpose of Training
The purpose of the Creative Drama Leadership Training Program is to enable participants to gain skills in designing and using creative drama processes. In line with this general purpose, the program serves the following sub-purposes.
• Ensuring creativity and aesthetic development
• Developing critical thinking skills
• Developing social development and collaboration skills
• Developing communication skills
• Knowing yourself
• Developing problem-solving skills
• Developing language skills
• Developing imagination
• Developing listening skills
• Developing empathy skills

Content of Training
The Creative Drama Leadership Training Program is a five-stage and 320 (252 hours of workshop, 48 hours of reporting, 20 hours of volunteer work) hour training program. Leader candidates who complete 300 hours are expected to complete 20 hours of volunteer work activities. Studies within this scope may also include the candidate's participation in unpaid, extracurricular activities and in workshops organized by field experts in academic activities such as congresses, symposiums, etc. related to Creative Drama. The first four stages are conducted in 48-hour courses, while the fifth stage is 60 hours. The studies are conducted in 16 sessions, each lasting 3 class hours. After completing the five stages, participants observe and report a workshop within the scope of the program and if they pass the exam conducted by the Trainers through the Training Coordinator, they are entitled to receive the Creative Drama Leadership certificate.

Target Audience of the Training
Anyone over the age of 18 who is at least a high school graduate can participate in the program.  Those who want to work using Creative Drama techniques in their profession, Those who want to conduct a Creative Drama workshop special to institutions, Those who work in the field of Creative Drama, those who lack education/certification and those who want to change their field of work, Teachers or teacher candidates, All professional groups, Those who want to have a profession and are at least a high school graduate can participate.

Prerequisite of Training
Anyone over the age of 18 who is at least a high school graduate can participate in the program.

Output of the Training
Be able to explain basic concepts related to creative drama method, Be able to apply dramatic activities, Be able to design lesson plans with creative drama method, Be able to implement lesson plans with creative drama method, Be able to plan and implement creative drama environments as a leader.

Duration of Training
Phase = 48 hours/ 12 Weeks / 3 Months / 16 Sessions Phase = 48 hours/ 12 Weeks / 3 Months / 16 Sessions Phase = 48 hours/ 12 Weeks / 3 Months / 16 Sessions Phase = 48 hours/ 12 Weeks / 3 Months / 16 Sessions Phase = 60 hours/ 16 Weeks / 4 Months / 20 Sessions
Note: Changes can be made in the duration by increasing the frequency of weekly studies without changing the program hours in accordance with the academic calendar of the university.

Days and Hours of Training
Tuesdays and Thursdays between 19.00-21.30 for the 1st stage. Our course is 15% discounted for all university students and MSKU staff.

Our Instructors for the first course; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özkan ÇELİK - ocelik@mu.edu.tr Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özgür ULUBEY- oulubey@mu.edu.tr *Instructors work within the Faculty of Education. They have a creative drama instructor certificate approved by the Ministry of National Education. They also have academic studies in the field of creative drama. They are quite experienced in the field.
